The Popular Party of Cehegín has made public its conclusions on the causes for which the Pabellón Loli de Gea collapsed last January of 2017, after several months of study of the project and analysis of its construction.
As the councilman of the Popular Municipal Group Pedro Lorencio described in the plenary session held at the City Council last Friday, it was found that "there were no pillars on the corners, perimeter trusses on the roof, as well as beams between the pillars, placed on average height, that were contemplated in the project and were not put in the work ".
In addition, from the Popular Party of Cehegín, have denounced the fact that "do not appear the plans that detail the pillars and the structure of the roof of the pavilion, and those of the other parts of the building," which makes Increase suspicions that "the government team tries to hide something and wants to tiptoe on this issue that could have caused a disgrace," they said.
The Municipal People's Group voted against the opinion of the Commission of Inquiry because "despite agreeing on the conclusions reflected in the report, it merely says that the pavilion fell because the steel sections were scarce and the poor execution, something that is obvious, but does not get to the bottom of the matter, does not enter into important issues that should have studied, among other things because it was the city council who commissioned the report and did not request that these issues be investigated, proving to be insufficient, since it does not determine the origin and main cause of the collapse of the pavilion ".
Among other issues the 'popular' cehegineros have noted that "we found no explanation to replace the double brick wall with insulation between the two, planned in the project of the work, by a block", among many other deficiencies that we have detected .
The Popular Party of Cehegín has asked the government team to collaborate in the clarification of the real reasons why this sports facility collapsed which "has been a time bomb for all the years that it has been standing".
Likewise, they have affirmed that "the cehegineros have the right to know what happened so that the work was not executed as it was in the project, with all the materials that it contemplated, iron, beams, etc. and we demanded that the municipal government involve so that you can know the truth. "
