Work has already begun to build a Green Zone in the San Antonio de Cehegín neighborhood, specifically on Mula street, in front of the old La Verja factory.
The Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, accompanied by the Councilor for Works and Services, Ismael Abellán, visited these construction works that are being carried out by the company Pavasal Empresa Constructora SA
We remind that, this work was chosen within the process of participation and public consultation of the Works and Services Plan (POS) of 2017 in this municipality so that citizens would be the ones who chose the projects they considered most necessary for the municipality.
Among the works to be carried out in this green area, which will have, for the first time in the municipality, a playground for children with disabilities, will be introduced water networks, irrigation and a network of rainwater collection, with its corresponding scuppers.
The paving area will be paved with cobblestones, a multipurpose court and a children's playground area with artificial turf pavement will be prepared, prepared for the absorption of impacts.
In addition, several landscaped areas will be created with plantation of different kinds of arboreal and shrubby plants and a hedge that will delimit the entire green zone.
