The Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, accompanied by the First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Education and Culture, Maravillas Fernández, as well as the councilors of Local Development, Francisco Chico and Works and Services, Ismael Abellán, visited the facilities of the footwear company Adulomar, located in the Polígono del Agua Salada, fruit of the lease contract that the town hall signed at the end of 2015 with the owners of it.
This company, dedicated to the artisan manufacture of footwear, has moved almost one hundred percent its production to these new facilities in which they will develop their business lines and, hopefully, to influence the growth of their brand "Paseart" and can thus expand your client portfolio of major brands.
There are more than sixty people who are working in this company, which has as main recipient of its products the European market, although they are also open and export to the United States and Asia.
The Mayor of Cehegín has indicated that "the implantation of the company Adulomar in our municipality, has different connotations, one of them the economic, with the jobs that are created directly, a number of important direct employees, in short, What is now a reality is the result of the willingness of the City Council to meet the demands that a company of these characteristics required and that the municipal aid, which we launched at the beginning of the term, that industrialization plan with all the measures that this contemplated in our polygons, has borne fruit and we hope that it will continue to do so in the future "
On the other hand, the company expects to "recover more work for our region and turn Cehegín into the town with the most leading footwear company in the region." Today, its owners have commented, "we have between 65 and 70 people working in our facilities. and we are a consolidated company with growth prospects, which will allow us in this center to carry out the hiring of new people to work "
