Today, the works contract has been signed to build a Green Zone in the neighborhood of San Antonio de Cehegín, specifically in Mula street, in front of the old La Verja factory.
The same has been signed by the Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, and the Delegate of the awarded company, Pavasal Empresa Constructura SA, Antonio Martínez.
The Councilor for Works and Services and Contracting, Ismael Abellán, was also present.
The deadline for execution is four months and the amount is 140. 921 euros VAT included.
We remind that, this work was chosen within the process of participation and public consultation of the Works and Services Plan (POS) of 2017 in this municipality so that citizens would be the ones who chose the projects they considered most necessary for the municipality.
Among the works to be carried out in this green area, which as explained, will have, for the first time in the municipality, a playground for children with disabilities, will be introduced water networks, irrigation and a network of rainwater collection, with its corresponding scuppers.
The walkway area will be paved using prefabricated concrete bilayer paving blocks, a multipurpose reinforced concrete track of 15 cm will be installed.
of thickness and a zone of infantile swings with pavement of artificial turf, prepared for the absorption of impacts.
In addition, several landscaped areas will be created with plantation of different kinds of arboreal and shrubby plants and a hedge that will delimit the entire green zone.
The Mayor explained that "this work was one of the most demanded by citizens in this important neighborhood of our town.This green area will revitalize an environment and provide equipment and leisure alternatives to the residents of the neighborhood of San Antonio" .
