The general director of Environment, Juan Madrigal, participated today in the seminar on environmental responsibility in the mining field organized in Cehegín by the Association of Marble and Stone Businessmen of the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the Community.
During his speech, he highlighted "the good work done and the commitment of the companies in the sector for compliance with waste management regulations, making the development of extractive industry, vital in the economic development of the Region, compatible with the protection of environment "and put on the table the initiatives launched by the regional government, including the creation of the Regional Agency for Climate and Environment (ARCA).
ARCA, explained, "has among its objectives to transform the current environmental management, betting especially for the modernization and simplification of electronic administration, accelerating and facilitating environmental awareness of the business and social environment, enhancing the green economy in the region and the circular economy , facing the challenge of climate change and locating European and private resources to meet all the objectives set. "
In this sense, Madrigal was convinced that "these challenges will mean a before and after in public environmental management that will be very positive for the regional productive fabric and, of course, for all our companies."
