The municipal group of Citizens in Cehegín has been approved unanimously in the recent Plenary two proposals.
The first will serve to strengthen control of the sale and consumption of alcohol to minors, while the second requires more resources to fight against the 'xylella fastidiosa', a bacterial agricultural pest known as the 'Ebola of the olive trees', but which affects also to citrus and other crops, both local and regional.
In the first case, the orange motion will include in the Citizen Security Ordinance prohibiting the sale of alcohol in convenience stores - known as' chinos'- between ten o'clock at night and seven o'clock in the morning, as well as the ongoing awareness programs on the dangers of alcohol consumption in children, with talks and educational and informative days.
