"We have to launch public leisure alternatives to limit the 'bottle' and raise awareness of this problem," said Orange spokesman Jerónimo Moya
The municipal group of Citizens will propose for debate in plenary tomorrow a motion for the prevention of alcohol consumption by minors "and to redouble efforts in the control of alcohol consumption in public spaces," as explained by his spokesman, Jerónimo Moya.
The motion calls for the effective enforcement of the Citizen Security Ordinance, and to include in it the regulation of the sale of alcoholic beverages in convenience establishments, better known as 'Chinese'.
"We want to limit the sale of alcoholic beverages in these establishments and restrict it from ten at night," says Moya, who will also propose the implementation of public policies of alternative leisure to the bottle for young people and that the Consistory promotes actions of awareness campaigns aimed at both young people and parents to highlight the dangers of alcohol consumption by minors, "adds Moya.
The so-called 'botellón' is, according to Cs, one of the social problems that most concern our neighbors.
"It is unfortunately a very frequent problem, which has a negative impact on the health of children who practice it, as well as on public spaces and urban furniture, not to mention the annoyances suffered by neighbors," says the orange spokesman. proposes to stop it both coercive measures as preventive and alternative leisure.
Citizens will also take to tomorrow's plenary a proposal for the implementation, development and certification of Cycle Tour Eurovelo Route 8, a project that forms part of a cycle route route from Athens to Cadiz, which runs through eleven countries.
"It is a project of sustainable tourism, and we urge the regional government to bet on the development of the coast branch and its interconnection with the sub-branch, in this case, from Murcia to Caravaca, the only one that to date certified for use by cyclists, in order to give continuity to a network of cycle lanes, which in the region is cut and has no continuity, precisely because of the lack of development of Route 8, "says Jeronimo Moya.
