The consensual formation with the groups that make use of them and the Autonomous Community itself a pioneering initiative in the Region that will be discussed in the next Plenary

After more than four months of meetings, which started last May 22, the municipal group of Citizens in Cehegín will present to the next plenary their proposal for a regulation on the use of public forests, "a pioneering initiative in the Region and based on both the consensus of the users of public forests and their sustainability and the protection of our natural heritage, "said Orange spokesman Jerónimo Moya.

The regulation provides for a series of rules for the use of the public forest, making compatible the different activities of a tourist, sports, leisure-time or hunting, which are developed in the same, through the creation of an annual calendar.

"Thus, all the groups that in an organized way use the public mount must communicate within a previously established period the activities that will develop throughout the year and that should receive the approval of both the City of Cehegín and the Autonomous Community. will serve not only the collectives to order their activities and make them compatible, but also to users who want to enjoy our forests in a particular way, and who may have information that until now was not available, "said Moya.

Citizens have held up to four meetings with public users of the public mount until they can draw up a draft of regulations of consensual uses that was presented in July and sent to the Directorate General of the Natural Environment, "in order to receive contributions and recommendations on our proposal, which will be a pioneer in our Region and that will be a starting point and a reference document for the management of recreational uses of public hills of other municipalities, "explains the orange spokesman.

The proposal was also referred to the Association of Forest Owners of the Region of Murcia, to offer its vision on the document and transfer their contributions, "given that many of the organized activities that take place in the public mountain of our municipality , they end up using to a greater or lesser extent private collection. "

The proposal that will be proposed to the next plenary session will be replicated by the different local groups of Citizens throughout the Region, concluding with a bill in the Regional Assembly on the uses of the public mount, which already works from Citizens.
