The Council of Health, Women and Equality of the City of Cehegín, directed by Antonia Fernández, has shown its support for the project called -730- of the Andalusian photographer and artist, Mara León, aimed at uniting protocols between autonomous communities so that Every woman with a mastectomy has the right to have two chests operated in the minimum time frame by plastic surgeons.
It all started on August 2, 2013 when Mara Leon is operated on for breast cancer and her left breast is amputated.
After chemotherapy and radiation treatments he finds that the reconstruction process is long and enters a waiting list of more than three years.
That's when the project -730 was born- are the days that she had to wait for the reconstruction of her breast after having suffered this disease.
Its purpose is to denounce the slowness of waiting lists for this operation.
The E730 platform, therefore, tries to obtain 500,000 signatures necessary to present them before the Bureau of the Congress of Deputies and thus initiate the parliamentary process, in order to get the women mastectomized after a breast cancer have a fairer attention And egalitarian in the whole Spanish territory, as far as the reconstruction of his chest is concerned, since the waiting lists oscillate between six months in communities like Andalusia and five years in Catalonia.
In Andalusia, platform E730 managed to enter breast reconstruction within the guarantee of deadlines, now is what it is intended to do at the National level, in order to equal the rights for all regardless of the community in which they reside.
It will be addressed to the "Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality" with the request to unify the protocols of action between Autonomous Communities.
From the City Council of Cehegín, and the aforementioned council, will collaborate in this project while being encouraged to participate in it all citizens who wish it.
To do this, you will have at your disposal sheets to sign in four public buildings of our municipality, that is, Cehegín City Hall, the Youth Space, the House of Culture, and the Center for Economic Promotion (El Coso).
