Yesterday, José Rafael Rocamora, Mayor of Cehegín, as well as Ismael Abellán, Councilor for Works and Services, met with Yolanda Muñoz Gómez, Secretary General of the Ministry of Presidency and Promotion of the Region to convey fundamental demands and needs For the municipality of Cehegín.
The first issue that was discussed at the meeting was the settlement of the Carretera de la Cañada García by the Autonomous Community, an agreement that is already approved by the Municipal Plenary.
At the meeting, the General Secretary was asked to make the maximum possible speed in the execution of the work so that the neighbors can enjoy it as soon as possible.
The reconstruction of the new pavilion has become a top priority for the Government Team, so it was communicated to the Ministry.
The Mayor has transferred to the General Secretary that "the Autonomous Community has to be in solidarity with the municipality of Cehegín before an event occurred, as was the collapse of the Sports Pavilion";
In the same line he expressed that "it is not an infrastructure that can wait for future plans of financing, Cehegín needs to recover the normality in the sport activity as soon as possible".
Similarly, the need to face two historical infrastructures for Cehegín was vindicated;
Firstly the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of the East Round with the Chaparral Road.
In this sense, Ismael Abellán stated that "the roundabout, located behind the former factory La Verja, would solve the problem of a dangerous and complex crossing"
Also moved the unfortunate state of the Carretera de Murcia.
This route is autonomous, so it is the General Directorate of Roads who has powers over the arrangement of the same.
