The Hall of Acts of the Nursery of Companies of the Coso, welcomed the award of diplomas to the students of the Joint Program of Employment and Training, the former Schools Workshop, in "Socio-Health Care to groups of social interest."
The Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, and the SEF Director General, Alejandro Zamora López-Fuensalida, were responsible for making this delivery to the 15 student-workers.
The meeting also included Local Development Councilor Francisco Chico Molina, program coordinator, Salvador Gómez Peñalver, as well as the trainer Ana María González Javier.
We recall that, thanks to this program, which lasted for a year and began last May of last year, the young beneficiaries of it have been able to obtain the Certificate of Professionalism "Socio-Health Care for dependent persons in Social Institutions ".
The course has made a theoretical part compatible with another one of practices.
In the latter, the City Council of Cehegín has had the invaluable collaboration of Animay, in the Day Center "Virgen de las Maravillas", the Foundation of the Hospital of the Real Piedad and the group of Afemnor.
In these three places the students have been able to acquire, first hand, a series of knowledge with different people and their personal and social reality.
The project has been carried out thanks to a grant requested by the City and granted by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia, and has had a total cost of 164,931.32 euros, co-financed with European Social Fund.
The Mayor stressed that "it is the first Mixed Program that is carried out in a sector other than construction, because although we consider that the programs related to the rehabilitation of infrastructure play an important role, it is imperative to bet on programs related to other areas , Because with these programs we must train our young people in the sectors of the future.
There is no doubt that the socio-sanitary sector is one of them, especially when each day we find a society more aged.
This will undoubtedly mean to all the students who have done it, a more favorable position for the incorporation of these people into the labor market. "
