A Turkish delegation, from the Bayburt region, today visited the Technological Center for Marble and Natural Stone in our town.
The reason is to know this sector in our Region and receive technical assistance for a Technology Center that they want to implement in their country.
They have been received by the Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora;
José Marín Núñez, businessman ceheginero and maximum leader of Stone Cluster;
And Javier Fernández Cortés, Director of the mentioned center in Cehegín.
In particular, as explained, these Turkish entrepreneurs, who will be for a week for our land, have received aid from the European Union to create a large factory and a support center for their companies, so they are very interested In close ties between our marble sector, meet the companies in the area so that they can observe, on the spot, their products, different finishes and the process of transformation.
During their visit to Cehegín, they will visit the CTM laboratory, the Sierra de la Puerta marble quarry, as well as the Crema Sierra Puerta transformation factory, where they will be able to see the processing of the marble and the latest technologies used in it.
For the Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, "this visit, which reinforces collaboration and commercial ties with other countries, is important for our town because the largest number of marble and stone extraction and transformation companies in the Region Finds concentrated in the Northwest of the Region and more concretely in Cehegín ".
