Councilor for Citizen Security, Joaquín López, have reported that José de Moya, coordinator of Civil Protection Cehegín was decorated, on April 7 in Madrid, with the European Gold Medal for Merit in the Work.
The Edil explained that "this medal is recognized after passing the nomination proposed to the Council of his candidacy in recognition of his merits, services relevant to the European Union and his extraordinary work."
It was granted by a Council composed of: Ilma.
Ms. Dña. Myriam de la Sierra y Urquijo, Ilmo.
Mr. Alejandro Suárez Sánchez-Ocaña, Managing Director of the Gestiona Group, Mr. Enrique Cerezo Torres, Entrepreneur and President of the Atletico Madrid Football Club and Mr. José Luis Barceló Fernández de la Mora, Editor -Director of the newspaper El Mundo Financiero.
José de Moya Moreno, besides this prize of now, has to his credit, among others, the Cross to Merit Police, the Medal to Sports Merit, the Great Cross of Human Rights and Police and Military Intervention and the Great Monarchical Cross of Spain .
Since September 8, 1983, he is the Director of Civil Protection of Cehegín, in which he also directs the Underwater Rescue Corps, under the Emergency Department of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
