The Mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, together with the Director General of Tourism, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, the Mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, Sister Major of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Vera Cruz de Caravaca, Elisa María Giménez, and the painter Nicolás de Maya, have inaugurated the exhibition 'Cruces de Caravaca', in the Convent of San Esteban, in the town ceheginera, which offers 20 interpretations of the Caravaca Cross by contemporary painters from the Region of Murcia.
It can be visited until April 20.
As they have explained is a way of projecting Caravaca de la Cruz and the entire Northwest in this Jubilee Year as a tourist destination through one of the main symbols of this city, the Cross, hand in hand with regional artists.
The painters who participate in this action are the ceheginero Nicolás de Maya, Miguel Fructuoso, Manuel Pérez, Martínez Mengual, Manuel Barnuevo, Esteban Linares, Belzunce, Nono, Vicente Martínez Gadea, Chelete Monereo, Martínez Cánovas, Esteban Bernal, Emilio Pascual, Marcos Salvador Romera, Antonio Ballester, Jorge Fin, Carlos Pardo, Araceli Reverte, Ana Martínez and Alejandro Franco.
