Yesterday, the meeting for the first quarter of the year of the Local Coordinating Table Against Gender Violence took place at the Local Police headquarters.
The Councilor for Equality, Antonia Fernández Nieto, the Local Police and Civil Guard sergeants, equality and social services technicians and representatives of CAVI de Caravaca
In this quarter, the number of cases remained in the previous quarter, two, none of them being repeat offenders;
On the contrary if the number of consultations to the CAVI (Centers of Specialized Care for Women Victims of Violence) is increased, as shown by its legal adviser.
Likewise, the increase in the breaking of restraining orders is worrying.
Campaigns to raise awareness among young people, such as those carried out by the CAVI in Cehegín for parents and children, are all the more necessary because of the increasing increase of gender-based violence among young people.
On the other hand, it has also been detected a use of social networks (Facebook, Whastap ...) to exercise violence through the use of new technologies.
