The Virgin of the First Pain has been commissioned this year to prepare the poster of the Holy Week of Cehegín, which was presented at an event held in the church of the Barrio de San Antonio with the assistance of the mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora ;

The president of the Central Board of Confraternities of Holy Week and this brotherhood, Pedro Alfonso de Maya.

Also present were the Councilor for Culture and First Deputy Mayor, Maravillas Fernandez, as well as different representatives of the Municipal Corporation and the various guilds cehegineras.

The poster is the work of Image Photographers, who has captured in a photograph the Virgin of the First Pain, wanting to reflect his First Pain, announcing as a prophecy by the old Simeón in the temple.

On the other hand, and also in the course of the event, the mayor, José Rafael Rocamora, has handed over to the president of the Central Board of Cofradías the municipal subsidy for Holy Week, which in this year rises to 16,500 euros.

The Mayor of Cehegín, in his speech, explained that "from the City Council we wanted to make an effort from this City Council, collaborating with 1500 euros more to the subsidy that was already given annually from our Institution"

José Rafael Rocamora has pointed out that "Holy Week, beyond the individual beliefs of each one, is a point of reference in our municipality, something that belongs to us all and that in Cehegín is part of our cultural identity"

"I am grateful, therefore, the effort of all the people who form the Holy Week family ceheginera, who is struggling to maintain it and that, every year, manages to carry it out and that it is enjoyed by a whole people."
