The President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, made an institutional visit to Cehegín yesterday, where he was received by his Mayor, José Rafael Rocamora, and the rest of the Municipal Corporation.
Also present was the Minister of Agriculture, Adela Martínez Cachá.
In the meeting held in the City Council were discussed issues of maximum interest for the municipality as the theme of the auditorium, infrastructure very important in terms of level of investment, both implemented and planned, and it is the intention of the Ceheginero Government Team to reconvert that project In a residence for the Third Age, for which it is necessary that the Autonomous Community authorize this change of use.
To work in this regard, the meeting agreed to set up a Labor Commission to continue studying, legally and financially, to shape this reconversion.
In this Commission the City Council will show that, technically and architecturally, and according to the study commissioned for this purpose, it is possible to reconversion in a residence of the Third Age.
Another of the issues addressed was the situation of the landfill of which the Mayor has shown his satisfaction because the second phase, related to its expansion, has been paralyzed.
On the other hand also analyzed the current situation of the greenhouses in Cehegín after the temporary past.
In this issue, the President announced that the Regional Government will publish a call for aid to repair infrastructure;
The Mayor of Cehegín, in this regard, also used to explain the aid that has been put in place from the City Hall;
And lastly also the reconstruction of the pavilion "Loli de Gea", that collapsed last January by the snow.
After this meeting, they also visited the Center for Economic Promotion, one of the main bets of the Cehegín Government Team, where a meeting was held with farmers and entrepreneurs in the area.
