In total, 1,234 athletes were registered for both the medium and long distance events, which took place in Caravaca de la Cruz, and for the 'sprint' test of Cehegín, held last Saturday in the streets of the Old Town.
All of them, according to the organization, generated around 1,000 overnight stays filling hotels, hostels and tourist apartments in all areas of the northwest.
The competition was attended by 824 national athletes and 410 international athletes from 16 countries (Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine).
