The Councilor for Health, Antonia Fernandez, has announced that, through the Emergency Service 061 of the Region of Murcia, under the Murcian Health Service, this City Council has been informed that the primary care emergency service (SUAP ) Of the municipality, will offer assistance 24 hours a day from February 16.
It has also been reported that the official communication will take place in the next few days and will be carried out by the Minister of Health.
This action is included in the Internal Reorganization Plan of the Regional SUAPs, which was approved by the Sectorial Health Table at the end of December, whose purpose is to improve emergency health care in different parts of the Autonomous Community.
Cehegín, therefore, has benefited from this action, as have other municipalities in our Region such as Caravaca de la Cruz.
The objective of this initiative is to guarantee the continuity of the service during the 24 hours and watch over the quality of care that the citizens receive.
In addition, it will improve the operation of the health center in the morning, as health professionals will not have to be mobilized in the face of an external emergency, which can be addressed by the SUAP team.
The Councilor for Health said that "it is very important this new service that was one of the needs and demands of citizens and health professionals of our municipality and that we have repeatedly asked the Autonomous Community. To municipal management, to the demand of society and these health professionals, is a reality. "
