The Old Town of Cehegín is already prepared to welcome during the whole weekend the activities organized to celebrate the traditional celebrations of San Sebastián, organized by the Stewardship of San Sebastián and with which the Council of Celebrations collaborates, directed by Ana María Molina, the Casino of Cehegín and the Brotherhood of the Souls of Campillo de los Jiménez.
We recall that these were scheduled to be held from 20 to 22 January and that they had to be suspended due to the snow and cold weather.
The celebration will begin next Friday, February 3, with the ringing of bells and the firing of the first castle of Santo, will continue that same night with the development of 'empedraos' and will end on Sunday, February 5.
Among the most outstanding activities of this celebration are those related to gastronomy, since in addition to the cobblestones, during the weekend, you can also cook and taste migas and rice.
In addition, other events such as the transfer of the torches from the ruins of the Hermitage of San Sebastian to the Plaza del Castillo, the celebration of the Easter Mass and the performances of the crews of the Campillo de los Jiménez and Bullas will complete the programming.
These crews will tour the streets of Casco Antiguo from 10:30 am on Sunday and will accompany the saint in a pilgrimage to perform after Mass and in the evening at the Casino.
