The City Council of Cehegín reports that, next Saturday, January 14, from 16:00 hours, a demonstration against the construction of a waste landfill will take place in the so-called Sierra de la Sierra Door of this locality.

This has been convened by the neighborhood groups of the districts of Valentín, Canara and El Campillo de los Jiménez, and the march will run from the Argos swamp to the area where this landfill would be located.

Councilor for Works and Services, Ismael Abellán, stated that "this Government Team will be present in this just claim of these affected neighbors, showing our total rejection to install this waste landfill in our municipality."
