The Local Coordinating Board against Gender Violence has held one of its regular meetings to analyze and prevent gender violence, through coordination among different agencies, as explained by the Councilor for Social Services, Women, Equality and Health Of the City Council of Cehegín, Antonia Fernández.
As a main conclusion, Edil has explained that two cases of gender violence have been detected in our locality, which has resulted in a decrease of these if we consider that, in the last meeting held last September, there were six cases of violence Which had been detected and which produced a considerable increase of the same ones with regard to the previous year 2015.
On the other hand, we have analyzed the activities that were launched from the Women's Department, and from different groups, on the occasion of the date of last November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, in The programming wanted to continue raising public awareness about this social scourge and promote real equality between men and women.
This Bureau is composed of the Councilor for Social Services, Councilor for Public Safety, Joaquín López, representatives of Social Services, CAVI, Civil Guard, Local Police and a Technician of the Department of Women.
We remind that the table has as objectives to improve the early detection of cases, to promote the coordination of agents, actions and resources;
Provide agile care and response to victims, improve protection for high-risk victims, and inform and sensitize professionals and citizens.
