The Department of Social Services, whose mayor is Antonia Fernandez, through the Technicians of the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest, is carrying out a series of activities in the field of drug dependence in the educational field.
In particular, they are activities that are developed in the three secondary schools in the municipality, Alquipir and Vega del Argos and Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas de San Vicente de Paul.
They will be two programs aimed at students of different ages and will be developed during the months of January and February.
The first one is about "Cinema and Education in values", directed to students of 1st and 2nd of the That, in order to take advantage of the fundamental role that cinema has in the processes of socialization of the child and to transmit values ​​and models reference.
The other part of the activities are the "Drug Prevention Workshops: tobacco and alcohol" for 3rd and 4th year of ESO and for basic training.
These workshops will be developed in the classrooms of the secondary schools to clarify everything related to the concept of drug addiction and offer alternatives of leisure and free time, as well as providing students with the knowledge, values ​​and attitudes necessary for prevention of consumption Alcohol and tobacco and the development of healthy living habits.
