The Cehegín House of Culture hosted last Friday the second day of the cycle of conferences of "Cehegín Cultural", dedicated this year to science.
The lecture was given by María Senena Corbalán, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Murcia, who gave a lecture titled "Most relevant applications of biotechnology in medicine."
Almost three hundred people, who crammed the House of Culture, were able to enjoy their teaching and an extraordinary exposition on the most important topics on these aspects of the most current science, including the latest advances in the cancer research process, where The speaker is one of the most prestigious researchers.
We will remember that next Thursday, November 17th, the last conference of the cycle entitled "Supercomputers and the well-being of society" will be held, explaining the applications of supercomputing in the resolution of complex problems, such as the simulation of Weather, DNA study, simulation of new chemical compounds or new drugs.
The ceheginero José Juan López Espín, professor of computer science in the Department of Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, will be in charge of imparting it.
