The City Council of Cehegín and the Association ANIMAY will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the day center "Virgen de las Maravillas", as informed by the head of Social Services Consistory, Antonia Fernandez.
One of the commemorative events will take place next Friday, November 11, at 11:00 am, in which a talk entitled "The landscape of old age" will be held, by the director of the center, Juan José Gómez, Who will offer his experience accumulated in the encounter with the elderly during these years.
The talk is free and free attendance and it will announce other events to be held on this anniversary.
As explained by the organizers, "in November 2006, with 14 seniors and 5 workers, they opened their doors at the Palacio de la Tercia, the center of attention for elderly people dependent on Cehegín, which was then run by the ANIMAY Association. This time the experience of meeting and care has been enriching and has reached many people and many families, who have found in this service a support and a stimulus to give quality of life to their relatives. At present, the center is at full capacity with its 50 seats occupied and with a workforce of 20 workers.
