As reported by the councilors of Environment, Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo and Celebrations, Ana Maria Molina Lopez, City Hall, along with Ecovidrio, the nonprofit organization responsible for the recycling of glass in Spain, they have installed two containers in the fairgrounds, where the barracks are located, in order to promote recycling of glass in the municipality during the festivity.

This initiative, which was not done in years past, emerges with the intention to raise public awareness of Cehegín, and especially the fiesteras barracks, on the importance of separating the glass during the course of the festivities.
