For the first time, the House of Culture Cehegín, has hosted one of the preliminaries of what will be the Patron Saint Festival 2016 to be held in the city between 8 and 14 September.
It was the public presentation of the Ladies of the Celebrations 2016, the queen will be chosen next Saturday, July 30 at the Hall of City Hall.
With the Mayor of Cehegín, Jose Rafael Rocamora, and the Councillor of Celebration, Ana Maria Molina Lopez, and clothed by family and friends, the five ladies, Elisa Ciudad Lopez, Ana Maria Espin Gea, Laura Espin April, Maria Isabel Perez Sanchez and Laura Sanchez Garcia, were up, one by one, the stage of the House of Culture, after a few words, before and endearing, which was Queen of the Festival 2015, Maravillas Valera.
The event, which was presided over by emotion, memory and nerves, they began with a video image of the municipality that followed, as mentioned, the words of the former Queen and the official presentation of that exercise of Ladies this year.
It did not lack either, the testimony of a Lady two years ago, Laura de Gea April who explained their experiences in that time, the role they have to play and lessons he could learn.
The Mayor of the municipality, who presented the ladies with a detail, also had words of encouragement for those who will flag of our Party and how they, too such acts, have become a key and traditional part of their development .
Finally, the Councillor of Celebration, took the floor to congratulate them and deploy them to the next Saturday, which is when one of them will be chosen as Queen of the Festival.
This, remember, will be crowned on September 3 at the Camelot room, day in which the ceheginero sommelier, Pedro Martinez, will read the opening speech that will atrium to the most important days of Cehegín throughout the year, and which they will celebrate the holidays in honor of the Virgen de las Maravillas.
