The Mayor of Cehegín, Jose Rafael Rocamora, yesterday received of the hand of Secretary General of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Javier Falcon, the prize has given this institution to the City of Cehegín, in relation to the implementation environmental education program called "Medioambientados".
The event was also attended by the Councillor for the Environment, Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo.
For this program, as we say, the City of Cehegín has been awarded the Award for Sustainable Development, in particular by "The environmental education initiatives at the municipal level", awarded by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment of the Region of Murcia, which was published in the BORM, last February 13.
This was taught in the municipality ceheginero by Adinor Association all students of 6th of Primary town and has consisted of three phases in which they have dealt with various issues such as biodiversity and its importance in the environment, protected areas in the Region of Murcia and the municipality, sustainable use of water, waste management and different energy sources, among others.
