The number of tourists who arrived in Cehegín during the first quarter of the year has increased by 23.69% percent more than in the same period of 2015.
These results, as reported by the Councillor for Tourism, Ana Maria Molina Lopez, from the report statistical data from the network of tourist offices in the Region of Murcia.
Altogether 3,943 people have been those who have gone through the Office of Tourism Cehegín, 785 more than in the same period last year.
The mayor stressed that "this is a good thing because here only people served by the Tourist Office are collected, and thus registered, which makes us suppose that the number is even higher because there are tourists visiting our town and they have obtained information through other means, such as web pages etc, which need not go to our office. "
Most visitors in the first quarter came from the Murcia region, especially of Murcia, Cartagena and Mazarrón;
also from other regions, especially of Alicante, Madrid and Valladolid;
and foreign countries among which are the UK, Germany and France.
