Last March, the Mayor of Cehegín signed an agreement with the Foundation for Sustainable Development, an entity whose purpose, among others, education, research, training, awareness etc, environmental and ecological values, and the use and management of renewable energy resources, energy saving and efficiency, rational water use and conservation of biodiversity, among others.

After signing it, it has taken place in the city of Cehegín the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee in which the major strategic projects and develop jointly between the municipality and the Murcia foundation lines were established.

Thus, the members of the commission, elected yesterday, are as follows:

Ceheginero by the consistory: Ismael García Abellán, Councilman Works and Services, Parks and Gardens, Contracting, ICT, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency;

Wonders Fernández García, Councillor for Education, Communication, Culture, Youth, Citizen Participation and Transparency;

Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, Councillor for Agriculture, Environment, Forestry and districts;

and Ambrosio Morales, Technical Environment.

And the side of the Foundation, its president, Emilio Ballester, and its director, Gonzalo Ezama.

Councilman Energy Efficiency, Ismael Abellán has stated that "in the coming days we plan that the Foundation can make an informative and his official presentation in Cehegín, which will target environmental groups and teaching staff and persons linked to our environment natural, to explain the whole series of activities which, next to City Hall, held throughout the year.
