Cehegín Mayor Jose Rafael Rocamora, along with other institutional representatives of the municipalities through which runs the Way of the Cross of Caravaca, have held a meeting with the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Juan Hernandez.

This meeting served to devise strategies and actions agreed to mark the upcoming Jubilee Year, to be held in 2017 in Caravaca de la Cruz.

We recall that in the region of Murcia these routes Way of the Cross are composed of ten ecotourism routes linking Caravaca de la Cruz with the four cardinal points of the Region of Murcia, including the Northwest region.

And itineraries are designed to lapse along ancient trails, historic roads laden sense of heritage, greenways, rural roads and paths that are a cultural and natural heritage of the first order.

Also, the roads are marked and allow use of the hotel network and rural accommodation in the Region of Murcia.

Cehegín Mayor explained that "Cehegín, along with other municipalities in the northwest through which passes the Greenway and therefore, the Way of the Cross, are an attraction that we must seize the occasion of the forthcoming Jubilee Year of Caravaca , so that in this meeting, have analyzed all these commonalities we have these municipalities so that we can successfully exploit this international celebration. "
