As reported by the Musical Society Cehegín City Council, next Saturday, April 9, this group will be one of the participants of the X International Music Band Contest "Vila de la Sénia".

This prestigious musical event of this small town in Catalonia was born, according to organizers with the aim of publicizing band music from an international perspective, make visible a small town (in the foothills of the Natural Park dels Ports) and claiming music band as a feature of their culture.

"The event, explained the organization, in this first decade, has not tried to be only a stage for interpretation but also a showcase for the work and talent of composers and directors here and around the world visible. his experience and expertise has provided excellence in the competition and participation has projected us in the world ".

19:30 next Saturday, will be the time indicated in the Musical Society Cehegín concurse and for this landmark event, will perform three works with the following scheme:

The Musical Society Cehegín be measured in this contest to the UM Band Ribarroja del Turia (Valencia), the Band of El Espinar (Segovia) and the Municipal Band of Bilbao

We recall that the musical collective ceheginero is run by Rafael González García and in recent years has won several awards: in 2013 won first prize at the XXIII National Music Band Contest City of Murcia, in its 3rd Section;

in 2014 he won second prize in the XXIV National Contest of Bands of Murcia, in 3rd section;

and 14 November 2015, has won first prize in the XXV National Music Band Contest City of Murcia, in 2nd Platoon.
