The departments of Public Safety, Works and Services and the Environment, aimed at the City of Cehegín by Joaquín López Carreño, Ismael Abellan Garcia and Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, respectively, presented to the media what will be, in the following days in the municipality, an awareness campaign for coexistence between people and pets, focusing especially on the need for owners to take a stand responsible in collecting the droppings of their dogs.
Councilors have shown "concern of the government team to the discomfort of the neighbors who take us their continual complaints to this fact. And especially the deterioration of the image of our city."
To do so, the Aldermen presented a brochure, headed with the slogan, "Let your pet do not leave footprint", to be released in the coming days for the general public, where it is recalled that "a responsible attitude is needed by the owners of dogs or people who walk and be aware of their obligation to collect the droppings of your dog. "
Ignoring this requirement leads, they recalled the Selectmen, a possible penalty of up to 750 euros, according to the Municipal Public Security Ordinance, which regulates this.
In addition, another set of problems involves injury to society in general.
Thus, they have pointed out that the abandonment of droppings can create health problems with a dangerous potential for contagion for younger;
other security, which may be a risk to the physical integrity of citizens, can cause falls and landslides;
also hygienic because hinder quality in the provision of municipal cleaning services, as well as aesthetic, because deteriorate our environment and the image of our city.
