The exteriors of the Jardín del Coso have hosted the act of reading the Manifesto on the International Day Against Gender Violence, in which the Mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, the First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya and the Councilor for Women and Equality, Mónica Sánchez, through whom the rejection of this scourge has been expressed, which even today is still very present in society.“In recent years, Mónica Sánchez has read, we have witnessed important advances and changes in the relationships established between women and men.
Even so, we often see how these relationships continue to be built on an inequality rooted in our society, manifested in everyday attitudes that reproduce and perpetuate it.
It is in this context of inequality where we must frame the aggressions, some of them so normalized and daily that they are not easy to detect by women, and even more so among young girls ”.Members of the Cehegineras associations and municipal corporation have also supported the victims of gender violence, in this act that, after the reading of the manifesto by the Councilor for Women and Equality, has had the interventions of the groups of the Progressive Women of Cehegín and the El Jardinico Art Association.
