Yesterday the ordinary meeting of the Local Employment Board was held, chaired by the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, and attended by the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Industry and Employment, Juan Guillén, the representatives of the municipal groups of the Popular Party and the Socialist Party and the municipal technician who acted as secretary.In it, the unemployment situation in the town was discussed, both the sectorized unemployment data, as well as the situation and amount of ERTES and people affected by them in our municipality.The situation of the granting procedure of the aid that the City Council launched in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic was also addressed, which we recall is € 250,000, of which 85,000 go to grants to keep businesses in operation and the rest € 165,000 to promote new economic activities.The meeting also served to talk about training courses as an essential mechanism to be able to choose to get into the labor market, in better conditions.Finally, on the proposal of the Councilor for Employment, there was also a debate on the need to redefine the functionality and organization of the current Local Employment Table, in order to provide it with the necessary content, so that the topics discussed and the agreed solutions have a real impact in improving the employability of our municipality.
