Today at a press conference the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, and the Councilor for Health, Mónica Sánchez, appeared to explain the situation of the municipality and the new measures regarding the coronavirus, after the State of Alarm, declared on the day yesterday by the Government of Spain, and the measures taken in turn by the Government of the Autonomous Community.The mayor explained, first of all, that, according to the latest epidemiological report of the Murcian Health Service, published today, October 26, active cases in the last 14 days amounted to 57 positive and in the last 7 days there have been 40 cases positive, so the cases have increased considerably.As also specified, the municipal monitoring committee for the health crisis caused by Covid-19, meeting this morning, has agreed to approve different measures of municipal competence in line with the national and regional measures previously mentioned."These, he announced, are aimed at applying the regional regulations of the competent health authority and reinforcing the collaboration of the City Council of Cehegín to contain the pandemic and establish the necessary measures for its containment given the incidence of infections in the city ”.  In this way, the following activities are suspended, starting today, Monday, and for 15 days until the epidemiological situation improves:1.

Sports Schools2.

School of Music.3.

The Theater School4.

The use of children's areas in parks and gardens is prohibited.5.

The heated pool will remain open with a capacity 1/3 of what is normally allowed.6.

In the library, archives, museums, exhibition halls and monuments, the maximum occupancy allowed will be 50 percent.7.

The weekly market may not exceed 75 percent of the authorized stalls.Finally, the mayor of Health, in his speech, has commented that, every 15 days, depending on the epidemiological situation, the media will be called to report on the measures to be treated.
