The Association of Family Members and People with Mental Illness of the Northwest (Afemnor) has taken to the streets of Cehegín this morning to raise awareness among residents of the discrimination that people with mental health problems still suffer and try to banish topics and prejudices that surround these disorders.The association has installed an information table on Calle Ginés de Paco where a manifesto has also been read, which was attended by the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor and the councilor for Works and Services, Pedro Lorencio .All these activities are part of the campaign 'Mental health.
A global priority ', the slogan chosen this year to celebrate World Mental Health Day, which is tomorrow Saturday 10 October.“At a time when humanity must get its future right, the idea of ??quality mental health for all people emerges strongly, because we are without a doubt one of the main determinants of global well-being.
When the invisible becomes visible, the light illuminates the destination ”, said Afemnor.
