The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, and the Councilor for Tourism, María Dolores Agudo, have presented the Internet portal turismocehegin.es, which will become the tool for those who want to discover the town. This page is committed to highlighting the main virtues and attractions of Cehegín, as well as the establishments where to stay, bars, restaurants and pubs, where the agenda of events, tourist routes, enclaves and image galleries with all the charms of Cehegín will be displayed. The mayor explained that "in addition to social networks, this website is an excellent way to promote our municipality and position Cehegín for tourism, in addition to other initiatives that we are developing from the Local Government to promote tourism in our town, to energize, promote and modernize the tourist activity of Cehegín with a comprehensive perspective ". The page, therefore, aims to value the tourist, heritage and nature potential that Cehegín has and, therefore, whoever visits it will be able to find sections such as Historical Heritage, Nature, Celebrations, Crafts, Illustrious Characters, and a section of Gastronomy and Commerce, where are our bars, restaurants and shops. In reference to the latter, the mayor explained that "this section is constantly updated, since these data come from the APP in which they are working, as well as from the Marketplace, where previously all these establishments have to register ". To do so, it has been recalled that any merchant or hotelier who wishes to be part of these applications must contact the Tourism office or phone 968723550, so that it can be advertised on this new website. "In short, the mayor has concluded, from the Government Team we are going to continue betting on tourism and on the recovery of heritage of our Historic Center, recovery of emblematic areas of our municipality, as well as the development of other tourism products focused mainly on development of our hospitality and our trade ".
