Today, the regulatory bases for municipal aid have been presented, which seek to alleviate the social consequences derived from the fall in economic activity, motivated by the COVID 19 crisis. The presentation was given by the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, and Juan Guillén, Councilor for Economic Promotion, Employment and Industry. The mayor explained that "the aid, one of the most ambitious in our Region, has two main lines of action, one to support current businesses with the aim of maintaining their activity, and the other to promote the undertaking of new business projects that result in generation of jobs ”."Our objective, he added, is the maintenance of economic activity in the municipality, in the context of the social and economic emergency caused by the health crisis of COVID 19". In the municipal budget for 2020, an item was established for this purpose, with a total economic amount of € 250,000, of which 85,000 go to subsidies for the maintenance of businesses in operation and the remaining 165,000 to promote new economic activities.
These € 250,000 have been withdrawn from the amount allocated to festivities, which as is already known to all, will not be celebrated, and what better way to allocate them to support and favor micro SMEs and local self-employed.From the City Council, it has been emphasized that "the best investment in social policy is the one that creates jobs and allows our neighbors to stay or rejoin the labor market in an active way."The bases, which will shortly be published in the BORM and on the City Council's transparency portal, contain in detail the amounts and conditions for accessing each of the grants, which are summarized as follows:• Hospitality: € 120.00 per business, plus € 3.5 / m2 of terrace that involves occupation of public domain, from the lifting of the alarm state until 12-31-2020• General trade: € 120.00 per business• Coso business incubator: € 2.83 / m2 of leased local area, for 3 months.• CILE Warehouses - Pol.
Industrial el Muladar y el Almarjal: € 0.90 / m2 per leased warehouse area, for 2 months.
Maximum aid of € 390.00• Pol.
Industrial Agua Salada Warehouses: € 0.65 / m2 per leased warehouse area, for 2 months.
Maximum aid of € 1,200.00Regarding entrepreneurship grants, the City Council has justified them by the need for the business and industrial fabric of Cehegín for new activities that facilitate the creation of jobs.
For this, a line of aid has been created that will subsidize 50% of the justified initial investment, with a maximum amount per application of € 15,000.
The companies that want to apply for this aid must have been established after the date the state of alarm was decreed and no later than December 31, 2020, while maintaining their activity for a minimum period of 2 years .
It should be noted that these grants will be in a non-competitive regime, and that they will be granted in order of the date they are presented, until the initially established budget is exhausted. Finally, it has also been reported that the Government Team is working on a line of aid for agriculture that we hope will be viable for the cut flower sector, together with the flower growers themselves who will join those of the Government Regional, which they hope will be made public shortly.
