In the ordinary plenary session held last Friday, the Government Team led by Alicia del Amor, raised to the full the rectification of deficiencies in the General Plan referred to in a report by the technical office dated July 17, 2018.
These documents they were approved with the votes in favor of all the municipal groups.The mayor, who is also a councilor for Urban Planning, declared that "today is an important day for Cehegín", thanking all the people who have collaborated in this task that began back in 2004.
The mayor added that "the General Plan for Urban Planning This government is considered an essential working document for the present and future of all Cehegineros.
As mayor and councilor for urban planning, it has been a priority for me to finish shaping and moving forward, a much-needed General Plan for Cehegín, for its urban growth and industrial development, as well as for establishing clear regulations regarding to the preservation of undeveloped spaces, of natural spaces.
'In this plenary session, the mayoress referred to the need that this work tool had to be taken by “a team eager to complete and take forward one of the most important measures for the people of Cehegín, a historical document and from which I am proud to have led and to be the person who finalizes and implements the municipal urban planning regulations that allow, among other issues; that urban developments can be carried out for compensation; that it reflects realities both in ordinance and in graphic documentation with great improvements in definitions, thus providing greater legal certainty; improvements to zoning and building ordinances; expansion of the Listed Buildings files and creation of an Archaeological Charter;also highlighting that 92% of the land of Cehegín is classified as undeveloped, a percentage that highlights the starting essence of a General Plan of a conservative nature and highly protective in terms of the natural environment.These documents will then be presented in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia and will subsequently be forwarded to the Autonomous Community for study and, if appropriate, subsequent final approval of the General Plan.
