The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, has appeared at a press conference to present the 2020 budgets of the Cehegín City Council.

These were approved last Friday, May 29 with the votes in favor of the Popular and Citizen Party and the vote against the PSOE.Budgets have a marked social character to try to overcome the situation generated by the health crisis caused by COVID-19.

The most outstanding games are:Direct subsidies for the maintenance and reactivation of the business activity of SMEs and the self-employed, for the reactivation of business activity in order to maintain employment and avoid social exclusion (€ 165,000).Direct aid line to the commerce and hospitality sectors (€ 85,000).Direct aid to families, from Social Services (€ 105,000).We contribute to the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest Region (€ 84,000).Attention or Home Help (€ 42,000).Investments in infrastructures (€ 378,000), among which are the completion of the works for the new sports hall or road repair in districts.Del Amor has pointed out that "they are the best possible budgets taking into account the economic situation inherited from the previous PSOE government team.

This left the Town Hall practically in ruins."The mayor denies the hoax about the increase in her salary.Alicia del Amor has taken advantage of the presentation of the budgets to flatly deny the hoax that Cehegín's left has generated regarding their salary and that of the released councilors.

"The law requires a 2% salary increase to be budgeted for all Administration workers.

In my case, as I said in plenary, if that increase had to be applied it would be donated to an NGO," stressed the Mayor of Cehegín.
