The Cehegín City Council approved, yesterday, with the votes in favor of the Popular Party and Citizens, and the vote against the PSOE, the budget for the economic year 2020 with a notable increase in the items intended to mitigate the damages produced both in the population and in the economic sector derived from the epidemic of COVID 19.
In this way, all items related to aid and subsidies for both families and businesses have experienced a sharp increase or have been created specifically for this purpose.
effect.The Cehegín City Council, therefore, with this Budget will allocate almost 481,850.18 euros in economic and social matters, with a municipal contribution of 250,000 euros for the economic reactivation and 231, 850.18 euros of a social nature, distributed as follows:€ 165,000 in direct subsidies for the maintenance and reactivation of the business activity of SMEs and the self-employed, to meet expenses, such as rents, supplies or quota of self-employed, to help maintain and reactivate the business activity in order to maintain employment and avoid social exclusion.Budgetary allocation of 85,000 euros, to establish a line of direct aid to the commerce and hospitality sectors, with the aim of maintaining and reactivating them, after the suspension of the activity they are suffering, said aid will cover in full the payments of two bimesters of the garbage rate for commerce and hospitality, as well as the cost of payments caused by occupation of public roads through the terraces until the end of the year.Direct aid to families, from Social Services, of 105,000 euros, distributed in 84, 850.18 euros provided by the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest and 31,000 of municipal contribution, increasing this municipal item by 10,000 euros, compared to 2019.About 83,000 euros will be contributed to the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest Region, increasing this item by almost 29,000 euros, compared to last year.The Home Care or Help item is endowed with 42,000 euros, increasing it by 10,000 euros, compared to 2019.In order to obtain this extraordinary amount, the Cehegín City Council has prioritized the items dedicated to reducing the economic and social impact of the health crisis, readjusting others that have been considered less priority, modifying the amounts it had budgeted for activities that could not finally be carried out.
