Alicia del Amor, Mayor of Cehegín, has been named a member of the Commission for Historical-Cultural Heritage of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
The appointment took place on the afternoon of Friday, May 22 during the constitution of said commission via telematics. This commission, which aims to improve the quality of cities and enhance their economy, will address such important issues as the "Work Plan, with special attention to the situation generated by the COVID-19 crisis." After her appointment, Alicia del Amor has indicated that "as Member of this Commission, I will work to contribute, seek and apply solutions to the Historical-Cultural Heritage, both nationally, regionally and of course for Cehegín.
Our town has a rich historical legacy -cultural that the different cultures that have passed through the centuries have left and we all have to work for their conservation ". The FEMP's Historical-Cultural Heritage Area has as its main objective to contribute to the preservation of the historical heritage in Spanish municipalities, promoting to this end links with entities related to heritage both nationally and internationally.
