Wonders Alicia del Amor Galo, Mayor of the City of Cehegin, by virtue of the powers that have been granted to me by the legislation of the local regime
Given the extraordinary situation caused by the Covid-19 epidemic declared as a pandemic, the Cehegín City Council has been adopting different measures to face the epidemic, always following the recommendations and regulations issued, first by the Government of the Region of Murcia and by the Government of Spain.
A set of decisions that, with the declaration of the state of alarm throughout the country, have substantially modified our way of life.
The real drama of the situation is not the confinement to which the population as a whole is subjected, but the large number of people affected and hospitalized, and the sadly increasing number of deaths from the disease.
In this situation, the innate solidarity of all the citizens of Cehegín has emerged in an extraordinary way, revealed in many different ways.
But it is the desire of your City Council to add to the numerous samples of solidarity the manifestation of the pain of the municipality as a whole for the death of so many people and the suffering of many others.
Considering article 21.1.m) of the Regulatory Law of the Bases of Local Regime that attributes to the Mayor the possibility of adopting measures in case of catastrophe or public misfortunes
RESOLVED: FIRST.-Declare official mourning in our municipality, from eight o'clock on April 3, 2020 and until it is provided to the contrary.
SECOND.
The suspension of all public events organized by this City Council.
THIRD.-Lower half-mast all the flags of buildings and public spaces, where possible, in which it is not possible, will light black crepes, and light a black crepe on the flags located inside public buildings .
FOURTH.- That the Plenary be informed of this resolution, in the next session that is held
