Make it known:
That given the situation that is occurring worldwide, due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19, (Coronavirus), and in accordance with the recommendations of the health authorities of both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, following the criteria of responsibility and tranquility to avoid spreading the disease, the City of Cehegín has taken the following measures for immediate application and in principle until March 31, 2020:
The following services and activities are suspended until March 31: Sports Schools, Adult Activities and heated swimming pool, activities in the Almarjal Sports Center, Study Room of the Picasso Center, Archaeological Museum and other monuments;
the Tourist Office and the Municipal Library, Music School, Theater School and Youth Space Activities.
All public social, cultural and sporting events organized by the City Council or held at municipal facilities are postponed.
The educational centers of the Municipality will remain closed, according to the statement issued by the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, starting next Monday, March 16.
The weekly market held on Wednesdays is suspended, as well as other periodic markets that are scheduled to be held until March 31.
The Cehegín City Council will restrict citizens' access to municipal offices and recommends that the procedures be carried out by telephone or telematics through the municipal website.
Likewise, an Appointment system will be put in place on the phone 968740400 for the Registration and Single Window Services, in order to avoid queues.
It is recalled that the regional government has enabled the phone 900121212 to answer questions and in the event of any symptoms, call the emergency number 112 or 061. In turn, it is recommended for people with vulnerable health, the elderly and with chronic diseases and to avoid leaving home for prevention.
From the City Council, a call is made for calm, citizen co-responsibility and it is recalled that the Health Authorities recommend the advisability of maintaining a home quarantine for those from high-risk cities.
Thus, the recommendation is extended to Associations, groups, private entities and companies in the locality to take extreme prevention measures and follow the recommendations of the Competent Regional Authorities.
It is also advisable to avoid all trips that are not considered essential and remember the need to avoid crowds and keep a minimum distance of one and a half meters.
Hygiene measures are also essential to prevent the virus with frequent hand washing and surface cleaning with water and detergent and disinfection with bleach.
