The City of Cehegín has commemorated this Monday, March 9, International Women's Day.
He has done so with a concentration that has departed from the door of the ceheginero town hall and that has culminated with the reading of the manifesto in the central Ginés de Paco street.
There, the fundamental role of women in society has been claimed, as well as the defense of their rights and support for equality policies as an instrument to move towards a more just society.
This manifesto was read by the Councilor for Women and Equality, Mónica Sánchez.
And the ceremony was also attended by the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, the First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya, members of the Government Team and the Municipal Corporation.
In addition, the event was attended and collaborated by the Afemnor, Bethany, Virgin Day of Wonders, Progressive Women and the "El Jardinico" Art Centers.
He has finished with the music of a choir composed of 120 students from the Cehegín Educational Centers.
The events will be transferred this afternoon to the "Adolfo Suárez" Cultural Center.
There the “Women†gala will take place.
An event that will be held from 18:00 and in which the role of different women of the municipality will be distinguished.
