The Rector of the “Miguel Hernández” University of Elche, Juanjo Ruiz, has visited Cehegín to promote and strengthen ties of collaboration between both institutions.
He has done so with his Management Team, composed of several Vice Chancellors, among which was our countryman and Vice Chancellor of Students and Coordination of this body, José Juan López Espín.
The First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya, as well as the members of the Government Team, Pedro Lorencio, Juan Guillén, Mónica Sánchez and Juan Martínez were present during the visit.
The meeting has served to establish ties of union and work so that they are concretized in a future agreement.
This will serve to implement all the potential that the municipality has and to continue working on innovation and development as well as the promotion of those resources that have to be so important in the development of the local economy.
Thus, the Rector of the University "Miguel Hernández", explained that "our presence has a very strong vocation for collaboration and we believe that very interesting things can happen for both institutions.
We believe that we will find many points of union and, first, we will sign a Framework Agreement, which is a declaration of intent, but there, in that document, we have to identify specific real projects that can serve as collaboration. ”
On the other hand, the First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya, thanked the Rector and Vice Rectors for their presence and commented that “for our people it is very important to work in the line of innovation and, the university establishment, without a doubt, It represents the greatest exponent of research.
It is, as noted, a first contact that will be transferred to an agreement and with which we hope to improve the situation of our people and strengthen those productive sectors that have to be decisive for economic improvement. ”
