The General Director of Tourism Quality and Competitiveness of the Region of Murcia, Esther Tenza, has visited our city today.
She has been accompanied by the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, and the Councilor for Tourism, María Dolores Agudo.
"The reason for the visit, they have explained, is none other than knowing first-hand some of the most immediate tourist projects that are being worked on by the government team, specifically the creation of a caravan parking lot, whose studies are already advanced and that we hope to be able to put into operation throughout this year and also seek investment for Casa Gorta to turn this mythical building into a center of tourist interpretation. "
The mayor of Cehegín, said that "from the municipal government I appreciate the presence this morning of the Director and I want to take advantage of the visit to express once again the determined commitment of the government team that I lead, for the development of the tourism sector as one of the most important resources that our people have and that must be a prop on which to cement our local economy. "
The mayor of Tourism, meanwhile, explained that "we will take advantage of the presence of the Director General this morning, to visit some tourist infrastructure, which require investment. We will also meet with the association of trade and hospitality of Cehegín, which it will advance the line of action of quality in destination, a clear commitment to quality as a tool to relaunch the tourist activity ".
The Director General has stated that "the support of the Regional Government to implement measures in this municipality that further enhance its beauty and that are a fundamental tool for its tourism and economic development"
