The Councilor for Employment, Juan Guillén, has delivered the cards to people who have been trained in recent months in two courses called "Professional User of Phytosanitary Products" (Basic Level).
About 40 students have participated in the two courses organized by Employment and have been developed at the Center for Economic Promotion of Cehegín (El Coso), both taught by the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Murcia (FECOAM).
The Edil has highlighted the importance of this course and has stated that “these courses are of maximum interest to farmers because, without them, according to the regulations, they cannot buy products on the authorized sites, nor can they manipulate them.
This would result in a penalty for which it is important that they be carried out for the normal development of their work in agricultural work. â€
These have been intended for students to acquire sufficient levels of training in the application of pesticides that allow them, among others:
Make proper use, storage, handling and correct application of phytosanitary products and their packaging, as well as the necessary machinery and equipment.
Become aware of the risks and influence that pesticides exert on their own health, public health and the environment, while knowing and using the means to prevent them.
Know the behavior patterns in the first aid application.
Have information on current legislation in this area.
