This morning the Director General of Cultural Property of the Region of Murcia, Rafael Gómez Carrasco, made a visit to Cehegín aimed at assessing the state in which different assets of heritage and cultural nature of the municipality are located.
He has met with the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor and, in it, the First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya, has been present.
The Director of the Archaeological Museum, Francisco Peñalver, has also accompanied this visit.
In this meeting a calendar of actions has been set in which, this General Directorate, has committed to help Cehegín to continue recovering its important heritage while preserving the existing one.
The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, explained that “for this Government Team, preserving our historical legacy is a priority.
For this reason I requested a visit to the Director General of Cultural Property so that he could come to our municipality and see, live, the different interventions that must be carried out to improve and preserve it, while fixing certain deficiencies that some of our buildings â€.
